Footprints – A micro-home community, vocation, and outreach center

Footprints – A micro-home community, vocation, and outreach center

Footprints is a transitional micro-house community for homeless single parents and their teenager, of the opposite sex, who would be separated in traditional male and female designated shelters.

The name was inspired by the topographical image of the site location, prior to the development of the community, and represents the idea that everyone matters and leaves their footprint in the world.

Providing a welcome mat for a homeless person to wipe their feet on, and enter into a safe, comfortable, private space with their teen at the end of each day is the first step in helping overcome the obstacles in their paths.
